YOUR SKILLS

Skills required
  • Bachelor of Computer Science and Information Technology
  • Hands on development experience of 3+ years with development in server side Java.
  • Strong understanding of Java fundamentals, design patterns and engineering best practices
  • Experience with REST API, json, knowledge of web protocols and technologies
  • Experience working with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
  • Knowledge of Java EE (CDI, JPA/Hibernate, …)
  • Working with unit and integration tests, test driven development
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and Maven
  • Good verbal and written English
Additional skills that are a bonus:
  • Experience with Quarkus or Spring
  • DevOps culture. Knowledge of jenkins, docker, ELK, …
  • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, …)
  • Experience with frontend development (Angular)
  • Experience working on projects with agile methodologies, usage of issue tracking tools
  • Working with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Artemis MQ)
  • Knowledge of microservice architectural pattern
  • Certifications (Java, AWS, …)
  • Insurance business domain knowledge
  • Knowledge of German language
